AlNiCo magnetic field Principle
The Feastrex magnetic circuit is a large enclosed sphere. Its theory is that the spherical shape can allow the magnetic force field to be established in the magnetic circuit more efficiently, reduce flux leakage, and allow fewer magnets to have a strong magnetic flux density.
Lowther has all of its strengths without most, if not all, of its weaknesses. (Feastrex) is a much more balanced unit overall, and you get
20,000 cycles and enough low frequency, it's a true full-tone unit. Of course, the price is expensive. The most expensive unit of Feastrex is nearly 70,000 US dollars. The cheap Feastrex 5-inch model D5nf and NF5ex (excitation type) are all around 3,000 to 4,000 US dollars, and the 9-inch D9e type I is about 10,000 US dollars.
Have you ever seen this kind of speaker unit? Different from the flat cylindrical permanent magnet structure behind the general horn monomer frame, the horn monomer developed by Japan Feastrex Company and using the Naturflux technology, what greets our eyes is a round ball. Such a special design, is it just sensationalism? Or is there really a basis for its design philosophy? Let's hear what Feastrex has to say.
The permanent magnet is covered with a metal cover with a square cross section. The figure on the right shows the distribution of the magnetic force lines after the square metal cover is added. It is obviously affected by the metal cover and becomes very chaotic. It is impossible to move downwards and left. The graph generally presents the natural curve of the arc.
The left picture above is a schematic diagram of the structure of a general loudspeaker. The permanent magnet is covered with a metal cover with a square cross section. The right picture shows the distribution of the magnetic force lines after the square metal cover is added. It is obviously affected by the metal cover. It becomes very confused due to the influence of metal cover and cannot present the natural curve of the arc as shown in the picture on the left below. Feastrex believes that this is wrong, because it will put the voice coil in an uneven magnetic field, which will have an adverse effect on the action of the voice coil and the sound emitted by the monomer.
So, how can this situation be improved? Very simple, the answer is Feastrex's Naturflux technology, which makes the permanent iron metal cover behind the speaker unit into a spherical form, so that the magnetic field lines in the spherical metal cover can be evenly distributed.
